Today

I have been sick for a few days, today, after two naps and 3 days of soup, I am feeling a little better. I have a hard time just staying down even when I don't feel good. I sleep hard then get up and clean a room, or go to a garage sale, then I take a nap. Today I went to Home Depot and bought one of those "do-it-yourself" book cases. I got out all the tools and put it together, J.J. only gave me a little help tightening some screw things. Any way, I now have a very neat closet with my genealogy stacked in file bins, the family histories and books all together, and once I get it all organized, I'll have the neatest cutest closet in the house.

Kurt is in San Francisco at a school board conference. I was going to go with him, but just didn't feel like being sick in a hotel room, far from home. It has been better sitting at home, fire burning, and going on a couple of outings.

I am so spoiled, Kim has been doing my grocery shopping for me for the last 18 months...but she is in Utah and I was out of food... who do you call? Vons.com I ordered my groceries and they showed up at the door with almost everything I ordered, milk, yogurt, bread, frozen pizza, fresh fruits an vegetables, its is like picking stuff out of your own garden, without the work. I think I may do this for the rest of my life...who ever thought of this is a genius.

Kim is on her way home with the two babies, I am going to be so happy to see them. It is hard to have the little ones be gone for over a week. I bet Riley will be crawling all around. It was nice to have some one on one time with Becky and Jenny over the last week. I need to do more of that. I have wonderful daughters who are some of my very best friends.

Last night, Pam and I went to dinner a Lourdes for a bowl of Mexican Chicken Noodle Soup...both of us with colds, eating hot soup to improve our health. Our plan was to go quilting, but we talked for so long we decided to just go home and go to bed. We did have fun texting Mike at the Valley Center Football game. Thanks Pam, it was a nice evening.

Today I went to a estate sale with my friend Marilyn. I found this really cool set of fireplace tools with a wood holder. I was so excited, but when I was checking out, they told me that it was already sold...didn't I know that was what the red tape was for? No, I obviously didn't...so sad, so I came home with a drafting square for $3. I should be glad, I saved a bundle. Marilyn found a few things, big pots, a wrought iron pot stand...just some odds and ends. It is always fun to go treasure hunting with Marilyn.

Well, it is 8:40 and time for another nap...maybe this one will last 8 hours. OK maybe being sick has it's benefits!
