Visiting Scott and Stefany

We had a great weekend visiting Scott and Stefany. They sure keep us busy and active.
We started out our day with a trip to Lake Mead, interesting place, a lake in the middle of the dessert. We thought it would be more develpped and have a few rocks around, like Lake Powell. Nope, just desolation. And with a temperature of 113, the lake seemed not refreshing at all. We did take our shoes off and do a little wading.
Scott came home from work and we went into Las Vegas for dinner at Brio's. JJ and Becky first intoduced us to Brio's in Cleveland, and we have loved it ever since. Great Italian food!!
Saturday morning it was time for hiking. We hiked Mount Charleston, up to a water fall. It was a strenuous hike, and a beautiful view. We ate lunch up at the water fall and then stood under it to cool off. That night we headed off to see the play "Jersey Boys," we just loved the music...we just love Broadway musicals.
Sunday we relaxed, went to church with Stefany and Scott and came home to a wonderful dinner by Chef Stef...she is getting to be quite the gourmet cook. After dinner, we took a drive up to Red Rock Canyon...another hike, for another day. What a terrific weekend!
