My Life... Busy and Loving It

My life, I love it, I love being busy, I hate being bored.

I also like being in charge of my own life, working at my own pace and choosing the projects that I work on. I like to paint for hours straight day in and day out, and then spend the next few weeks doing genealogy.

I love to be with my family. There is nothing better than having the moms and dads bring the grand children over for a swim. Today, I had my nephews children here as well, what a treat to play with them and have the opportunity to build a relationship with them....thanks Gweneth for teaching me to play "Dead Man."

I love my calling in the Church. For those of you who are not LDS, in our church we are asked to serve in a volunteer position in the Church for 1, 3, 5, maybe even 10 years. I presently serve as the Public Affairs Director for the Church in San Diego County. I really enjoy all of the folks I meet and the great relationships that have grown because of this opportunity. I have been working in this volunteer position for the last 7.5 years. Who knows how long I will serve here, then, maybe I will be asked, or called, to be a nursery teacher for the 18 month old children, or serve a mission in South America.

So what does a normal day look like for me: Yesterday: started with some stretches, did some genealogy, read the scriptures (I am studying the atonement of Jesus Christ), organized my painting room, played with A.J., cleaned the attic, had lunch with Kurt, tended Aiden and Eli for a couple of hours, went to the Fiorina- Boxer debate party in Bonsall...go Carli....great job!!

Today, what did I do?...did my stretches (a.m. & p.m.) a little genealogy, went out to lunch with Kurt and my parents...to Dave's Famous Bar-b-que in Vista (yum), tended grand nieces and nephew, talked with my daughters while the kids swam, washed the leather sofa, caught up on a few emails, talked to Stef on the phone, and I plan on" skyping" Brynnly tonight...

I hope tomorrow is just as interesting and just as fun!! Thanks to Kurt, I am organizing my time better... I may learn to get more done in one day, and have more nap time too...

Thank you again for watching the kids for us! They love talking about the fun they had at "Aunt Kathy and Uncle Kurt's." :)
